Ultimate Mortal Kombat NDS trailer

Interesting, isn't it? Well, so is Destructoid's write-up of the game. Oh, and according to Joystiq Ultimate Mortal Kombat should be hitting (hard) your Nintendo DS this November. IGN on the other hand has this lovely Ed Boon interview to offer.

  1. Interesting indeed! However, if you're gonna bring out a 2D fighter on the DS and not utilise any of the DS functions, why not just release it on the GBA?

I have a Mortal Kombat game for the Gameboy Colour (it's dire)and Mortal Kombat Gold for the Dreamcast (reasonably good fun). Whilst I admire the gore, the gameplay is not thrilling, although I must confess, I never played it long enough to master its devastating combos...)

For once I think I will be able to resist a purchase... Wouldn't mind borrowing it though! Thanks for the heads up Gnome!

  2. Not much of a fun of the Mortal Kombat meself either, but it does remind me of the happy arcade days of yore...

Now, I do see your point on the DS/GBA thingy, but you must admit that besides the two screns, the DS is also way more powerful...
