The Art of the Game Boy Papercraft

Game BoyGame Boy PapercraftGameboy Papercraft
Nintendo gameboy papercraftSpectacular stuff, and from what I can tell (I do have a proper old Gameboy at hand for comparison reasons) these Gameboy papercrafts are anatomically correct. Brilliant stuff! Find out more about them and of course download them here (via WiiNooB).

A Sinclair ZX81 for you GP2X Wiz

The Sinclair ZX80 and its decidedly upgraded update the Sinclair ZX81 were the two computers that brought, uhm, computing and with it computer gaming to the masses. They were affordable, small, good looking, user friendly and desirable enough to kick-start (at least in Europe) the 8-bit craze and -especially after the release of the ZX81- help create the early gaming industry. What's more, more than a few classics like the brilliant 3D Monster Maze have been released for the things and even the homebrew community is still active working on them.

Happily, us retro minded Wiz owners can now relive the glories of the early Sinclair computers on the go, what with the release of the brand new ZX80/ZX81 emulator ZXGP2X. You can download it for free from this place and find out more about it (and download it again) here. Mind you, this is an excellent emulator that supports the stylus, comes with a highly customizable virtual keyboard and features everything you could ever ask for to run any ZX81 game.

Gaming on the Go getting a facelift

You probably noticed dear readers, but this very blog is getting both a face-lift and a slight change in its name. It will henceforth be known as Gaming on the Go and will (most probably) look much better and tidier than ever before. Oh, and if you'd like to suggest something for the new GotG, well, now's the time!

Adventure for free on iPhone & iPod Touch

Adventure iPhoneIt seems like every machine that can play games will eventually get itself a post of the classic that was Adventure on the Atari 2600. This means it should come as no surprise that Adventure -a brilliant, graphical, arcade-adventure attempt at recreating the original text based Adventure- is now available for both the iPhone and the iPod Touch; for free! Find out more here.

Visual Boy Advance: Excellent GBA emulation

GBAI don't know what's gotten into me lately, but I quite enjoy looking for handheld emulators to run on bulky PCs and less bulky notebooks. So, here is the pretty excellent Visual Boy Advance. It's an obviously freeware GBA emulator that will allow you to run all your commercial Game Boy Advance games and of course a ton of demos and homebrew games. Emulation at its best...

What? A fully working Sony PSP emulator?

PSPWell, apparently yes, though I wouldn't expect each and every piece of software released for the PSP to seamlessly work on it. Still, JPCSP has finally reached a version where it can be considered a proper and fully working PSP emulator for the PC, that can actually run commercial software. Have a try for yourselves here.

The Zaku Interview

I'm terribly (terribly!) sorry, but it seems I forgot to let you Atari Lynx gamers know of the Zaku focused interview posted right here. Happy (belated) reading!

The best Gameboy Emulator for your Wiz

And arguably one of the best emulators already released for everyone's beloved Linux based handheld. It's called Lemonboy and you can download it for free from this lovely Wiz friendly place. The emulator has a ton of options, runs brilliantly in full speed and, besides the Game Boy and Game Boy Color, can even emulate that SNES Super Game Boy oddity thing. Mind you, I've already tested it with a variety of roms and they all loaded and played just fine. Brilliant!
