Amazingly, Nintendo DS owners almost got themselves a pretty decent looking version of Bungie's HALO shooter complete with interesting FPS controls, recognizable graphics and Wi-Fi multiplayer options. Not so amazingly, the game never got to hit the shelves and mankind lost the chance to marvel at another beautifully named product: HALO DS. Pity. Well, when I saw those videos this morning I was pretty excited, hoping that some early version of the game had seen it's way onto the web.

There are a lot of people out there talking about suspicious things about the videos (the scores never went up, the time never changed, the guy shot right handed guns with left bumber, etc...) and claiming it's nothing more than a Goldeneye DS mod.
So, you think that's a fake then? Don't know myself... think it's the real thing, even though it still isn't so very interesting...

Seems very logical really... Not that I know what the Rogue Agents engine looks like, but it could just be a proof-of-concept thingy...

ReplyDeleteWell, provided it is Halo, it would probably be the original one, though I just can't be sure...
ReplyDeleteIt has dual-wielding, so it got to be at least "inspired" in Halo 2. Also, the level shown looks a lot like a beach-themed level in Halo 2.
ReplyDeleteI dunno, I would have liked to experienced a little Halo action on the DS, if it is real and never released? (Does that make sense?)
