Blue Ray will definitely bolster the sales of PS3's and high quality games are coming too. Sooner or later Blue Ray will dominate and HD will be obsolete. Although I only watch Blue Ray movies on my PS3, the implementation of Blue Ray on the PSP looks interesting.
I agree. Maybe Sony is attempting to appeal to a wider demographic by having Blue Ray on a PSP. Having Blue Ray on a PS3 makes perfect sense, but I could care less about Blue Ray on a PSP. I am still curious as to how the functionality works even though I will never watch Blue Ray movies on my PSP.
I doubt that Blue Ray will be as smooth on the PSP as they will be on the PS3 because of the compatibility. It looks like formatting might be an issue when playing Blue Ray on a PSP.
Fair point. Still, I usually only care for the gaming part of my consoles, so the PSP's excellent line-up is far more important than any of its -admittedly nice- extra features.
This is a feature that I am fairly elated about. Skype is as innovative as playing a PSP on a television.
ReplyDeleteThough definitely more on the portable side of things ;)
ReplyDeleteSkype looks brilliant. I haven't been this giddy since Sony introduced Blue Ray on the PS3.
ReplyDeleteIt quite admittedly is a bargain too and I think the Blu-Ray, now that it seems to have won the HD wars, will probably push PS3 sales too.

ReplyDeleteActually, I'd say it's pretty pointless, but that's only me...

ReplyDeleteYou don't consider Skype a gaming component of the PSP? I expect Skype to be an incredible gaming feature.
ReplyDeleteWell, for FPS games I guess and only if you can stand listening to retarded cretins shouting incredibly pointless insults/orders while gaming...
ReplyDeleteLOL!
