Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard

Apparently, guttertalk was correct. Etrian Odyssey II will be hitting US DSs this June and you can expect it to be a better, bigger and more hardcore update of the original featuring at least one new class. Above you can see some screens and a sample of concept art and what follows is indeed a press release:
About Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard In the Grand Duchy of High Lagaard, it is said that the Duke is descended from inhabitants of a castle in the sky. When an unforeseen crisis befalls the nation, it is decreed that the first explorer to retrieve the Grail of Kings from that mythical floating palace will be rewarded with wealth and fame beyond imagining. Enter the central city of Lagaard and begin your journey to the clouds!

  1. Why isn't the legendary Guttertalk a team member on GGOTG?

He always seems to be a beacon of handheld gaming to mere mortals like ourselves...

I'm starting an online petition to make him a regular contributor on this esteemed blog. I'm also petitioning the Pope to have him canonised...

I wonder which will happen first?

  2. I don't know about the Pope, but that guy in Rome with the pointy hat owes me a beer.

Sadly, my ability to post on a regular basis makes J.D. Salinger look prolific, as gnome can attest. Like a half eaten chicken leg sandwiched in the sofa cushions, I have a post on another gnome blog that desperately needs attention.

I appreciate the compliment. I certainly have been persuaded to do far, far less enjoyable things . . . like that Kenny Loggins concert in the early 80s. Or that impromptu fajita-eating contest in '89 that nearly caused the manager to shut down the buffet for the night. Or that 27th shot of tequila that made a former Mother Superior question my self-preservation.

  3. 27th shot, Feck!

Gnome this looks like a game I might enjoy for the DS... The only game I have finished on the DS has been Orcs & Elves.. Which was pretty basic, but fun...

  4. Hehe, Father, as you see guttertalk is never far away from us and as I can definitely attest to, he's probably out of time. Which reminds me I have to finally finish that bloody Cabaret piece... it's almost done you know... Oh, and garry.. lol :)

If you liked Orcs and Elves you'll probably love this one Deitrix. I suggest you give it a go.
