It was back in 2001 when British indie dev team Introversion released its first (and some might say best) game: Uplink. It was a graphically simple yet elegant and unique offering, and one of the very first indie games that actually managed to gather some mainstream publication support. It was, after all, such a fresh and excellently executed idea. A brilliantly atmospheric hacking game, that despite being easy to get into felt surprisingly authentic. Or, well, as authentic as, say, a very good space-flight sim.
Now, as you may have guessed Introversion might just have plans to port Uplink to Android, which is frankly a pretty brilliant idea. They did say so in their 500th tweet, though nothing is apparently set in stone. Then again, I don't remember Introversion ever teasing without actually trying to accomplish anything, so, well, hopes should be high. Oh, and do find out more about Uplink and give its demo a try here.
