Atari Lynx Marlboro Go

Not the best video on YouTube, I know, but still a rather interesting look at the unreleased Marlboro Go game for the Atari Lynx. Oh, and should you care to actually give it a try, you could download the prototype ROM from Atari Age and grab a free copy of the Handy Lynx emulator to run it.

  1. OMG, when you think you've seen it all...

I actually had to read the title twice to make sure it was indeed Marlboro and not some similar word.

The game itself doesn't look too bad, I wonder why it wasn't released? Maybe the Marlboro name wasn't that appropriate for a game that would probably end up being marketed at kids...

The end of the video made me laugh, for I've stop smoking Marlboro a long time ago (too pricey) and switched to, guess what, Camel xD

  2. You'd be interested to know the Marlboro branded, properly red no less, Lynx console did get a minimal release. Oh, and I do wish I could smoke Prince cigarettes but they are way too unhealthy. Guess Marlboro Lights should do...

  3. Just saw a picture of the Marlboro Lynx on your Lair and it's actually quite pretty!

Prince cigarettes? The first time I've heard of those, no wonder since they're not sold here. A quick wikipedia search revealed that apparently it's the favourite brand of King Diamond (he's a musician, don't know if you've heard of him). Well, guess I'll have to stick with Camel...

  4. King Diamond? Nope, never heard of the man, really. But now all I want is to smoke 3 packs of Prince a day...

  10. Actually, Frank's not my real name. It's just the fake name I used to sign up for gmail with because I used to be paranoid about this new internet fad.
