Alien Breed coming to iOS

The original Alien Breed was a true Amiga masterpiece and its sequel an even better game. It sported those gloriously metallic 16-bit graphics, some then-innovative survival horror mechanics, an excellent pace and a deeply atmospheric setting. Importantly it also played like a dream; a still unsurpassed dream.

On to the (good) news then. Team 17 are porting Alien Breed to the complete iOS range which, unsurprisingly, includes everything from the iPhone to the iPad. The new version already looks incredibly crisp, features virtual dual-sticks controls and should be available this very August.

You can find out more over at Team 17's facebook thingy.

SpaceChem Android

SpaceChem is an excellent and wildly innovative puzzle game that, frankly, does everything right; yes, even the fake-science and imaginary machine-building bits. Oh, and it has now also made itself available to Android tablets. Grab it here or try its demo here.

Cthulhu Saves the World goes mobile!

Cthulhu Saves the World is a 16-bit styled top-down RPG I have already (and rather intensely) loved on the PC. No, really, you can read my glowing review of the game, but even if you can't find it in your heart to do so, let me just point out it's an utterly hilarious game and something definitely worth playing if only to enjoy its demented old-fashioned combat.

Happily, Cthulhu Saves the World can now also be played and enjoyed on the go. You can grab its iOS version here or go the Android way by trying this link
